Yelp
Chelsea Market is one awesome food hall and I highly recommend the place for any foodie. I loved wandering the place, checking out menus, seeing what was good to eat, and perusing the various markets. The Lobster Place is both a seafood market and sushi bar with a New England style seafood restaurant attached to it called Cull & Pistol. Many of the same items that can be enjoyed at Cull & Pistol are served at their casual takeout window C&P Galley at the very back of the The Lobster place. The lobster roll can be enjoyed here for almost $10 less than the restaurant. Granted, it’s standing room only. It was a weekday, so I can imagine its elbows to elbows on the weekends.
Clam Chowder
I quite enjoyed their classic New England style clam chowder, which is self serve style here. It was PIPING hot hot hot. It was a nice balance of savory seafood goodness and creaminess.
Lobster Roll maine style
The more expensive lobster rolls are 100% tail meat. The crappy lobster rolls are stringy leg meat. The lobster roll here was a nice balance of meaty claws. The mayo was just enough to complement the sweetness of the lobster meat. The split top roll was perfectly buttered, toasted, and soft.
Had we more space in our stomachs, we would have liked to try their sushi bar. We only had space for the chowder and lobster roll, and that already was pushing it. I’m glad it was only delicious things I was stuffing into my mouth. It was well worth feeling overly full. Out of all the things we enjoyed at Chelsea Market, the lobster roll was certainly the best of it all.
