Our search for gelato continues.  We were in love with Grom and hoped for more great things with this famous and ever popular gelato parlour.  The hoards of customers amped up the anticipation.

The flavor selection was plentiful compared to the other gelato places we hit up.  It was dizzying and made it difficult to narrow things down.  Not a bad first world problem to have.

I can’t exactly remember all the flavors we got, but stracietella was definitely one of them.

Strawberry was another.

The sweetness of the gelato was the most notable thing here.  As we continued to work through the large scoops, the sugariness only became more of a turn off.  We couldn’t even finish our scoops.  I’d venture out to say Giolitti is just one of those places that is popular due to the perpetual tourist foot traffic.  Grom was a lot better.
